Prepare to be amazed by specimen collections at Brambell Natural History Museum
Brambell Natural History Museum, 麻豆传媒高清版 will be joining museums from across the country for this year鈥檚 Welsh Museums Festival, which will be taking place from 27 October 鈥 4 November.
This wonderful annual event is an opportunity for everyone who lives in Wales, or visiting over the half term, to engage with and explore the fantastic museums we have across Wales. As ever, this year鈥檚 event will have a varied programme of events to cater for all tastes, which include exhibitions, re-enactments and workshops, through to Halloween themed activities.
麻豆传媒高清版鈥檚 Brambell Natural History Museum, will be open to the public on Saturday, 3rd November 11am-3pm as part of the festival. This will be an opportunity to visit the University鈥檚 Natural History Museum, which is not usually accessible to the public, to learn more about the specimens on display. There will be a chance to ask questions of the available volunteers, and there will be an activities corner for children of all ages.
It is intended to improve access to 麻豆传媒高清版鈥檚 hidden museum collections and this is part of Storiel鈥檚 work in partnership with 麻豆传媒高清版. This event will offer local residents and visitors a chance to enjoy and learn about the vast variety of specimens on display.
Brambell building is located opposite ASDA and directions are available on the on website
The Welsh Government鈥檚 Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Dafydd Elis-Thomas said,
鈥淲e are immensely fortunate in Wales to have such a wealth of museums that are filled with some incredibly interesting items. I very much see the Festival as an opportunity for museums to reach out to their local community and help people immerse themselves in their culture and heritage. Hopefully this will help inspire a new generation of people to learn more about our fascinating history.鈥
Victoria Rogers, President of the Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales added,
