Directions to Bangor
Bangor is close to the fast North Wales Expressway (A55) linking into the UK and European motorway networks. As long as you are the passenger you can also enjoy some wonderful scenery with views of the mountains and the sea passing the Great Orme at LLandudno, Conway Harbour, and the islands of Anglesey.
By Road

In most cases, the fastest route to Bangor is the A55 expressway along the North Wales coast.
- If you are travelling from the South/West of England from the M6, follow the M54 signs towards Shrewsbury, Wrexham and Chester to the A55 to Bangor.
- If you are travelling from the North, you need to take the M56 and then the A55 to Bangor.
- From West Wales, you should follow the A487 to Aberystwyth, and then via Dolgellau, Porthmadog and Caernarfon to Bangor.
- From South Wales the best route is via Hereford, Leominster and Shrewsbury, then follow Wrexham and Chester signs to the A55 to Bangor.
