Changes to Childcare Schemes 2017
Our current childcare voucher scheme, run by Sodexo, will be replaced with a new government Tax-Free Childcare programme in 2017.
There are significant differences, and the scheme that is best suited to you will depend on your individual circumstances.
- If you are already a member of the existing scheme, or join the existing scheme before the Tax-Free Childcare programme is introduced, you will be able to choose whether or not you want to switch to the new one or stick with the existing scheme.
- However, those who wish to apply for support once Tax-Free Childcare has been introduced will only be allowed to join the new programme.
*This makes it even more important for those who care for children to join the current scheme as soon as possible*
Anyone with children up to the age of 15 (or 16 if they are registered disabled) can apply for vouchers. The savings can be significant. You could save up to 拢933 or 拢1,866 if your partner also chooses to take vouchers.
