- Research and Academic Reading Skills:
- Reading efficiency techniques.
- Strategies for selecting information.
- Summarising, note-making and note-taking techniques.

- Structuring arguments and expressing ideas.
- Spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
- Constructing sentences and paragraphs, paraphrasing.
- Editing and proofreading skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Revision strategies:
- Memorisation strategies.
- Exam techniques.
- During the initial session, your study skills tutor can discuss with you the findings of your Diagnostic Report and Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ Needs Assessment Report (or advise you about arranging these) to help you identify your learning priorities and future goals.
- An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) will then be drawn up with you and your study skills tutor setting out your short term and longer-term goals to meet your specific study needs.
- This ILP will be a flexible document that will both inform and adapt alongside future specialist study skills and strategy support sessions.
- In liaison with your study skills tutor you will be able to focus on developing your study skills, evaluating the techniques you have implemented, and monitoring the progress you are making.
