There is a lot of world heritage in North Wales, and I can learn and visit while there, that is the one significant point of the Bangor history course. For the social policy, 80% of students are satisfied with their course and feel it's meaningful for their future carrier.
Teaching Quality
The lecturers are all so supportive. They assisted far beyond the academic work but considered my personal concern and we discussed the workload together. The assignment feedbacks are also detailed and supportive for the step up.
Social Life
I joined the Japanese and International societies, and both societies are enjoyable and comfortable. There are students from multicultural backgrounds in the International society, so I can learn about their culture and I feel at home there. The societies are a good and easy place to make friends.
Accommodation
In my first year, I lived in the St Mary鈥檚 student accommodation village and then moved to a private house with my flatmate the following year. St Mary's was lovely and peaceful and I was also pleased with my flatmates there.
The Location
I think Bangor is a beautiful and lovely place for studying.
Student Support
The International sessions are always supportive; I learnt how to get a Visa, create a bank account and apply for accommodation. I had no idea how to sort it out when I first came to the UK, so it was beneficial for me.
Career and Employability
Finding a job in Bangor wasn't easy, but I kept applying and learning the systems and finally got some opportunities. I also got an internship at a local secondary school after arriving in Bangor.
Future
I am pretty confident in my future, also my lecturers and tutors are all supportive, so they make me feel stronger.
Best thing about Bangor
Bangor is located in the countryside and there are international students from more than 100 countries here, and people respect each other's culture, so I like it the most.
