Student Experience - History, Heritage and Archeology
My name is Emma Cassels. I chose 鶹ý because I really liked the idea of coming to a new place and getting to experience a new culture.
I liked that it was in an area that was almost between city and rural.
The coolest part of my course has definitely been the opportunity to travel around North Wales and really get to see and experience different elements of the heritage.
I mean, whether it be through field trips with my course professors or through internship.
The internship that I've done here at the university. I really enjoy the fact that it's not just History and Archaeology.
It's connected to so many other things in the wider world.
It's connecting the past to the present is educating people on their heritage.
It's working with tangible buildings in the environment, and really, it's just so much beyond History and Heritage and Archaeology, as you would think of it by itself.
I think that's been really incredible to experience and see how it goes beyond what even my expectations entering the course were.
My favourite thing about Bangor, I would probably split into two sections and that is the environment around me.
Beautiful nature, beautiful scenery, but also the actual environment of the school.
I've met a lot of very great people, whether it be professors, students, staff and I'm really grateful for the environment here at the university and how it's helped me get through my course and succeed in my course.
So those two things together, I think, really make Bangor a great place for me.
