Non-Smoking Policy - (minor amendments made Jan 24 re theatrical companies)
This Policy Document details the University’s Non-Smoking Policy and use of Electronic Cigarettes. If using e-cigarettes, staff and students should always be aware of leaving them unattended when charging due to the potential fire risk from the chargers and ‘shorting’ of batteries.
Non-Smoking Areas: Fron Heulog is a completely smoke-free campus and Main Arts is non-smoking except for the 2 designated areas, which can be viewed here.
You can download the smoking sign here if you would like to put it up in your building.
Giving up smoking is hard, and almost everyone experiences setbacks along the way. But it’s not the end of the world if you start smoking again - it’s a natural part of the process of turning from a smoker into a non-smoker. One in four adults in Wales is an ex-smoker, so it can be done! The good news is that over 1000 people in the United Kingdom stop smoking – and stay stopped – every day!
