Since its establishment at Bangor Unversity in 1993 , the The Centre for the Standardization of Welsh Terminology has standardized terms for organizations within Wales that work through the medium of Welsh. During that time, the centre has produced numerous terminology dictionaries, in both printed form and digital formats.Now located within the Language Technology Unit in Canolfan Bedwyr, the Centre continues to specialize in the field, complying with and influencing internationally agreed standards for terminology.

The Unit's Terminology Portal () is a free, convenient, national resource which allows users to search through most of the terminology dictionaries on the web.
