Bangor graduate scoops Pride of Britain Award
Congratulations to 麻豆传媒高清版 graduate Llew Davies, who has just scooped a Pride if Britain Award.
The 29 year old, who graduated with a degree in Primary Education in 2004, is Deputy Headteacher at Ysgol Cae Top in Bangor, and last year won the UK Teacher of the Year Award.
鈥淟lew鈥檚 success brings credit to the University and to the School of Education course. It is great to see teachers who trained with us receive such recognition. He has remained in touch with the University and works with us in a variety of ways. He is a mentor for trainee teachers in his school and brings his pupils in to workshops held in the School of Education. His pupils, under his guidance, have been successful in the F1 Challenge for primary schools run by our Centre for Design and Technology,鈥 said Janet Pritchard, Head of the School of Education.
The Pride of Britain Awards aim to celebrate the achievements of some of the nation鈥檚 unsung heroes. Llew Davies was described as a teacher pupils will never forget.
Llew Davies is an advisory teacher for science, an ICT trainer for the Local Authority and is well known for his innovative approaches to teaching and willingness to share his expertise with others. He is also an advisory teacher for science. He is involved in the wider life of the school, ranging from taking football and rugby training to leading the school on projects relating to the environment and enterprise.
