We have single-occupancy short-term stay rooms available for students, these are located at our Ffriddoedd Village.
This is the pricing structure for these rooms from 1 September 2024:
- Bookings less than 7 nights - £25 per night
- Bookings of 7 nights plus - £24 per night
- Rooms in a serviced flat - £35 per night (*this includes bedding, towels, bodywash/shampoo and tea/coffee making facilities in the shared kitchen)
Please note that we have limited availability for the serviced flat. Services are carried out once a week for stays longer than seven nights.Ìý Servicing for extended stays include a bedding and towel change, bedroom bins emptied and light clean of the bedroom and bathroom areas.
Non-serviced rooms are standard en-suite student rooms, and residents are expected to provide their own bedding, towels, toiletries and cooking equipment.ÌýÌýÌý Ìý

Excellent Wifi is available at no extra cost. There are also self-service laundry facilities available on site, which are chargeable.
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is 10am. If you are travelling late or arriving early, we will do our best to accommodate you, please just ask.
All rooms have single beds, en-suite bathroom and a desk area with wardrobe and drawers.
All kitchens are equipped with an oven, hob, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer and ironing board and iron.
We do not accept cash payments, therefore all bookings must be made in advance and paid for online or over the phone.

Terms & Conditions – Short Term Stay
You must be a full-time registered student at Bangor university to stay in this short-term accommodation. You must not have any outstanding debt owing to the university.

You are responsible for cleaning your bedroom and en-suite bathroom. You will have access to shared kitchen facilities, which contain a fridge, freezer, hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, and ironing board.
We do not provide any kitchen utensils, crockery, or cutlery.
The kitchen bins & recycling will be emptied 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The kitchen will be given a light clean once a week.Ìý
There are two laundrettes for guest use, one near Halls Reception, the other opposite the Security Lodge. ÌýStudents can either use the pay-as-you-go system or create an account of credit with the Circuit app for washing/drying.Ìý

Vehicles parked on university premises must display a valid parking permit. Please note that Students may not park in the Canolfan Brailsford car park. Further information can be found here:
Please collect your room key from the Halls Office after 2pm on your arrival day. Our address is Halls Office, Idwal, Bangor LL57 2GP.Ìý Ìý
If you are arriving after 5pm, you can collect your key from the Ffriddoedd Village Security Lodge, which is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Please let us know if you are going to arrive on a different date to your booked arrival date.Ìý Ìý
10.00am. Your keys must be returned to the Halls Reception by 10.00am on the day of your departure.
If you would like to extend your stay, this must be done before 4pm on the working day before your departure date.
Payment must be made in advance online or over the phone. We cannot accept cash payments.
Any bookings made within 24 hours of the arrival date will require payment made by telephoning the Halls Office before 4.00pm Mon-Fri (excluding bank holidays/college days).
Wi-Fi is available free of charge by connecting to Eduroam. Ìý
Rooms are fitted with extra efficient ‘on request’ heating system. All the buildings are well insulated and are heated to an ambient background temperature 24 hours a day. Please check the heater socket is ‘ON’ before reporting heating problems. In addition, never cover electric heaters or dry items on or near them as they could burn, and this constitutes a fire hazard. Ìý
Please note the rooms are not equipped with air conditioning. Ìý
If you have booked a stay for longer than 7 days, it will be possible to collect mail from the mail room. Parcels will be delivered to the on-site parcel lockers, situated next to the Brailsford Dome. ÌýYou will receive an email notification from the mail room if you have a parcel to collect.
The University prohibits smoking and electric smoking devices in and within 5 metres of any University buildings. Ìý
The rooms are for single use only, overnight guests are not permitted. Ìý
Pets are not allowed.
The minimum age for check-in is 18. Ìý
Children cannot be accommodated at the property. Ìý
Do not use aerosols close to smoke detectors. Fire alarms are tested weekly in the afternoon, ringing for a short interval only. If you hear the fire alarm at any other time, or it is continuous please evacuate as detailed in the IN AN EMERGENCY / FIRE EVACUATION section below.
Please familiarise yourself with the Fire Evacuation Procedure displayed in your room and keep fire routes and Fire Exits clear at all times. In addition, do not burn candles, incense or similar andÌýÌý
NEVER cover smoke detectors. Residents covering detectors will be asked to leave immediately.Ìý
Please keep the shower room door closed as steam from hot water can activate the fire detection.
Guests may only use standard electrical equipment such as hair dryers, shavers, laptops and phone chargers. ÌýPlease remember to switch off appliances after use and never leave them unattended e.g. hair dryers, mobile phone chargers and laptops. If you have a problem with university electrical equipment please call the Halls Office, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Outside of these hours please contact Security.ÌýÌý
Always secure your bedroom and flat door. Do not leave valuables in open view and call Security immediately if you have concerns or see anything suspicious. Ìý
Please do not leave personal items in the corridors or kitchen. Although we make every effort to reunite guests with left property, items not reclaimed within 3 months will be disposed of.Ìý
In an emergency (e.g. First Aid) call Security on 2795 if using the building’s foyer phone or the above 01248 numbers if using a mobile. 333 also links to Security and is our equivalent of 999.Ìý
If you discover a fire:
- Operate the nearest call point and evacuate immediately.
If the fire alarm sounds:
- Do not use the lift.
- Leave the building by the nearest Fire Exit (do not stop to collect personal items).
- Go to the Assembly Point and await further instruction.
- Never re-enter the building until authorised by the fire brigade or University security staff. If you cannot evacuate via the stairs:
- Go to the Refuge Point.
- Operate the system – it links to Security.
- Await further instruction from Security. Ìý
There is no refund for any period of absence or for early check-out. Ìý
Cancellations must be received 2 weeks before the first night of your scheduled stay to be eligible for a refund. Any cancellations received prior to this will be refunded in full and will take 21 days to be processed.
