Research Interests
My research interests lie in the intersection of food experiences and place-making. I am intrigued by how local food traditions, gastronomy, and food-related activities shape both individual and collective identities within a region. My work explores how food acts as a medium for community building, influencing the sense of place and belonging.

2019
The Wales Real Food and Farming Conference, taking its lead from the Oxford Real Farming Conference, explores diverse issues across sustainable food and farming, bringing together farmers, food producers, environmentalists and people involved in public health, food education, sovereignty and justice. It aims to open conversations between those interested and involved in the future of food in the country, mapping out what a sustainable 21st century food system for Wales might look like and how we might begin to build it.
