Enhance Your Teaching
Peer observation of teaching practice or learning support allows you to develop through self-reflection, share knowledge with colleagues and identify areas that need support.听
The scheme is designed to enable participants to reflect on teaching and learning practices with reference to the and the .
Bangor鈥檚 peer observation scheme is open to all staff who teach and/or support learning. It is expected that all academic staff with a teaching role will engage with the scheme once each academic year as part of a peer observation dyad or triad. This includes part-time lecturers and professional practitioners who regularly contribute to teaching. Postgraduate students who teach will be observed as part of their requirement to undertake School-specific training or the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (PGCertTHE). External speakers will not be required to participate in the full scheme, but for those with a recurring contribution per academic year, module leaders should at the very least attend a session and provide verbal feedback.
