Hydrofluoric Acid
Hydrofluoric acid is a colourless liquid containing more than 40% w/v of hydrogen fluoride; it emits suffocating fumes which smell rather like chlorine. As a chemical reagent it is very reactive and although in its combined mineral form it is inert, in other forms it produces severe reaction in man. Â
