The future vision for Public Involvement and Engagement: with the North Wales Medical School
The North Wales Medical School (NWMS) and are excited to host an open event, exploring the role the public play in healthcare research, and our vision for future engagement.
Support from members of the public is essential in ensuring research is conducted effectively, and good engagement with the community around us is a core focus as we develop our newly formed North Wales Medical School.聽 Join us where we鈥檒l be celebrating the impact and achievements of PARC-Bangor, our current public involvement advice group, and looking forward to how we鈥檒l continue to engage with patients, service users and family members as we continue to grow.聽 There will be open discussions and attendees will have the opportunity to help shape our NWMS and NWORTH public involvement strategies.
Speakers will include Dr Zo毛 Hoare (Senior Lecturer & NWORTH Director/Principal Statistician), Dr Kirstie Pye (NWORTH CTU Manager), Dr Nia Jones (Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Education & NWMS Medical Programme Lead) and Professor Stephen Doughty (Professor & NWMS Pharmacy Programme Lead). We鈥檒l also be joined by Rebecca Burns, Public Involvement Manager at Health and Care Research Wales (), to explore the development of public involvement in research taking place across Wales.
