SENRGy鈥檚 postgraduates report fantastic student satisfaction
The release of the 2015 National Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) results has seen another year of great success for the (SENRGy). The School achieved a hugely impressive 99% overall satisfaction score.
The fantastic overall satisfaction score is mirrored by similarly impressive scores (90%+, n = 59) in areas of the survey dealing with teaching quality, feedback, student support, student research supervision and library resources.
SENRGy offers a range of in the fields of conservation, forestry, food security and environmental management, including a range of highly successful distance-learning Masters programmes, several of which are unique in UK Higher Education.
In addition, the 2015 of the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) has also seen SENRGy score highly for overall student satisfaction, polling an impressive 94% from PhD students within the School.
Commenting on the 2015 PTES and PRES results, SENRGy鈥檚 Head of School Professor Morag McDonald commented 鈥渢his is a tremendous result and credit to the efforts that all our technical, administrative and academic staff put in to Masters teaching and student support and into the supervision of their research students. The results are also a credit to the productive partnership we develop with our students, such as through the School鈥檚 Staff-Student Liaison Committee. Bangor is in a fabulous location for studying and researching the environment and the School has developed a range of innovative distance-learning programmes. It is incredibly pleasing to see that SENRGy students are hugely satisfied with their postgraduate study experience鈥.
The latest PTES and PRES results add to the many other successes of the School in teaching and research over the past twelve months and we look forward to these continuing over the months to come.
