They were offering a graduate scheme, so I applied and was successful.
Describe what you do?
My role involves managing the Capital budgets of the Welsh Ambulance Services, ensuring both value for money and service need. It also incorporates business intelligence ensuring that value is obtained from existing funding and future projects.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Being able to make a difference and help develop assets which improve the health and well-being of Wales.
What would you say to someone thinking about a career in the NHS?
Go for it, the training and support I have received over the years have been world-class. The question you should ask yourself is, do you want a career or a job if the answer is career the NHS is the route you should go.
