My country:

Where will my degree take me?

Our employability strategy is founded on four pillars:

(i) collaborating with employers to identify the key competencies within the sport, health and exercise sector

(ii) embedding and developing these key competencies in our curriculum

(iii) providing work experience and volunteering opportunities so that students can transfer knowledge into practice and

(iv) we continue to support our students during and beyond graduation with dedicated academic staff, our Careers and Employability service and alumni relations team.

Throughout your degree, you can get involved with exciting and world-leading research activities. Examples include an expedition to the Nepal Himalayas where our Extremes Research group conducted studies into how people react and adapt their performance in extreme environments. Our Institute for the Psychology of Elite Performance has also been leading research within the England and Wales Cricket Board鈥檚 (ECB) and UK Sport to inform their Talent Identification and development programmes.

We provide world leading and cutting-edge research to the Sport and Exercise markets which directly informs our curriculum. This means you will be taught the most recent and exciting content during your degree, using the most innovative methods possible. You鈥檒l develop skills to generate cutting-edge questions of your own whilst also being equipped to design methods to answer these questions.

We are based in a beautiful Grade II listed building on the banks of the Menai Strait and in an area of the UK that is passionate about both sport and health. As well as the backdrop of the nearby beaches, mountains, lakes and forests of Snowdonia鈥檚 National Park, you鈥檒l have access to an extensive range of laboratories containing state-of-the-art equipment for sport and exercise physiology, psychology, motor control and learning, and motion analysis.
