Dr Carys Stringer holds a PhD in Health Economics from 麻豆传媒高清版. After completing her PhD on quality of life measurement for family carers of people with dementia, Carys has worked on several projects aligned to her primary research interests of dementia, carers, aging and social value. Carys is currently a Lecturer in Preventative Health with the Academy for Health Equity, Prevention and Wellbeing.

  Description

  Based in North Wales, the Health Precinct is a partnership between Conwy County Borough Council, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, and Public Health Wales.

  People with chronic conditions are referred to the Health Precinct by a health professional. A key element of the Health Precinct is the emphasis it places on social interaction, encouraging people to take control over their day-to-day life.

  This study involves:

  1. A realist evaluation to explore 鈥渨hat works about the Health Precinct, for whom, why and in what contexts?鈥�.

  2. A Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis to explore the social value generated by the Health Precinct for its participants and the wider community.
