What difference has obtaining a Vice Chancellor Scholarship made?

Obtaining my scholarship has been instrumental in improving my quality of life. Being an international student is expensive, having a scholarship allows me to live more comfortably, avoid taking on excessive debt, and gives me the freedom to travel more.

How did your application stand out?

I’d like to think that I framed my scientific research within the cultural and economic context of North Wales and demonstrated how my work could benefit regular people.

Your tips for a good scholarship application?

You need to prove that your work is important to people who aren't in your field.

Best part about your Bangor studies so far?

My supervisor gives me a lot of freedom in my research but is always quick to help when I ask for it.
