Vidushi Sharma was awarded an undergraduate Vice Chancellor Scholarship.
What difference has the Vice Chancellor Scholarship made to you?
Obtaining the scholarship has motivated me and helped me gain confidence at Bangor. Thus, within two months of joining the university, I have been an active member of societies and clubs.聽 I am also a part of the Student Council, Course Rep team, and Societies Executive. The award feels like additional support to keep up with doing everything.
How did your application stand out?
I had various high school extra curricular achievements that demonstrated transferable skills. These included Model UN conferences, internships, student council, sports, debating, etc. Furthermore, another important aspect that I highlighted was a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Despite having so much on my plate, my studies never suffered.
Your tips for a good scholarship application?
Don鈥檛 focus on just one big achievement, rather demonstrate a variety of skills that you possess and that qualify you for the award.
