The main reason I chose Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ is because it's ranked in the top 15 in the world for 'Banking Research and Finance'. I love the location, you can hike up the mountains in the morning and go surfing in the evening, It's like a dream come true. The infrastructure of the university is really good and Pontio is amazing, the Main Arts building looks historical so overall it is very diverse.
Academic Teaching QualityÂ
The lecturers are really friendly and they are always ready to help. I have my classes in the movie theatre sometimes, in the Pontio cinema.
Clubs and Societies
It's quite a small city so you know everyone. I am a part of the Cricket Club and will also become the treasurer of it next year. One thing I didn’t even know existed was 'Octopush' which is underwater hockey. It was tough at first but once I got the hang of it, it was amazing – it’s the most fun game ever, I will also be on the committee for it next year. I also joined the International Society and the Wakeboarding and Mountain Biking clubs and am also a part of the guides and scouts. When you go out with them you learn so many useful skills. I went to the Scottish Highlands with them and it was my dream, we did so many things like camping, hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking. It was like the best 5 days of my time in Bangor. The societies and clubs are amazing. It is definitely easy to make friends, people are so friendly here.
Accommodation
I stayed in university accommodation in St Marys and the Campus life events are really good. I was able to do kayaking and canoeing which was all free. The cost of living here is super cheap and Bangor is the cheapest and probably the best.
Bangor and the area?
This is the most beautiful area I have ever lived in my life. It is so beautiful here, you have the mountains and the sea. You can go hiking, climbing, you can do everything here. I really love it.
Support from the University
I have had a really good experience with the support services, especially with my country manager Ali Khan, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn’t be here. He was very helpful and he guided me through everything.
Part-time jobs in Bangor
I am currently working part time and have been since the end of February. I work at the weekend in a climbing centre, it is really good and I would say it is easy to find jobs here.
The Future
It is really prestigious having a degree from the UK and Bangor is among the top 350 of world universities as well.
Best thing about Bangor
There is a friendly atmosphere here, the locals also are very friendly and nice. I love the people here.
