What difference has obtaining the GREAT Scholarship made to you?
It鈥檚 greatly reduced the burden on my mother with helping me fund my studies, especially since my father passed recently.
How did your application stand out?
I think I managed to convey my personality and background through the application, which I think was important for the assessment. Furthermore, I think sentence structure and good grammar went a long way in helping me get my points across.
Your tips for a good scholarship application?
Make your application sound personal
Try to form a story so that the reader can understand what kind of person you are
Make sure to edit and proof read (preferably by someone else) before submitting your application
Are you enjoying your time at Bangor?
People in Wales are so very friendly and the large proportion of international students as well as clubs and societies at Bangor means it's very easy to find your place, as long as you're willing to put yourself out there.
