Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æing abroad has always been a dream of mine, and it was one of my personal conditions when looking at universities. I love travelling –immersing myself within a different culture and learning from local people– so studying abroad was definitely a perfect opportunity. I’m so grateful to have had this opportunity.
What I gained
Personally, this has been a literal dream come true. Academically, being a part of the UNSW Law faculty – currently ranked #13 worldwide – has taught me how to further my research and writing skills. I was also able to study fascinating modules in my field of interest like ‘Terror and Religion’ and ‘Indigenous Women and the Law’. Professionally, it’s given me global experience that no other involvement or participation can top.
Highlights of my trip
I have loved every opportunity of this trip, but some of my best highlights were:
Ìýsitting in Sydney Botanic Gardens to watch the New Year Fireworks over the Opera House
Ìýmaking new friends
Ìýcreating a competitive netball team which came third in our league!
Why I recommend IEY
For anyone considering studying abroad – go for it! Yes, it’s a big commitment, and it can be scary at times: there is no way to prepare yourself for moving halfway across the world (believe me - I have been there)! But the rewards are so great.
Get involved, live life to the fullest and studying abroad very quickly becomes one of your best life experiences.
