Firstly, it was the landscape that drew me into Bangor. Driving through the mountains and reaching the sea that looked so beautiful in the sunshine and then seeing 麻豆传媒高清版 sat on the hilltop was a truly 'wow' moment. However, the course and University are fantastic themselves, with Linguistics at Bangor being one of the longest running courses in the UK, I trusted that it would be well established and a great course. So far, I haven't been wrong.
The Course
I think the way the course is set up is great. Starting with all the core modules and moving through the years gaining more choice as you go, it's been great to pick modules this year, where I could tailor them to my particular interests and potential future careers. Not only that, the lecturers are fantastic. So enthusiastic when teaching that you can't help but feel enthused too.
Clubs and Societies
All three years I have been a member of the Bangor Linguistics Society (BLS) and this year have taken on a committee role. I also helped to set up the new Disney Society in my second year, becoming its Secretary while being a member of the Dance Society to varying degrees over the semesters.
The Location
As a place it has been so welcoming to me, I made friends quickly and felt like I'd really found somewhere I could belong. It's big enough that there's plenty to do, especially if you want to go out exploring your surroundings, but it's also small enough that it starts to feel like a real community where everyone knows someone you know. It just has a really lovely, easy-going feel to it.
