At Bangor there is a high quality of education standard with field leading professors, I feel lucky to be part of the Business School. The University has the most traditional look, built in 1884 and annexed with cutting edge modern facilities, and loveable accommodation it has been a wonderful experience.

The International Mentor Scheme

One of the dilemmas for any international student is to go through some difficulties in obtaining accommodation, finding a suitable course, and home sickness. Bangor has a thriving multicultural campus, with students from various nationalities so there wasn't the fear of being alone and being a mentor gave me the opportunity to help the people around me, and to make lifetime friends and fellows.

What is the most difficult thing about being an International Student?

Being an international student is a bit challenging as you need to adjust to a new environment. Finding a suitable course and accommodation is one of the major challenges for any international student and Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ helps a lot in this regard and their international department is very actively working to make things easier for the new upcoming international students.

The Course

I am studying a Master's in Business and Marketing at Bangor Business School.

The Lecturers

The faculty is totally amazing and highly qualified, they focus on research rather than old school teaching models. These modern teaching models help us to think in terms of business growth and encourage us to be entrepreneurs. I feel highly grateful to be a part of the Bangor Business School.

Clubs and Societies

There are many student societies and clubs at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ, including, sports societies, music societies, dance societies, volunteering etc. I am a member of the cricket club at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and love to play cricket.

Bangor and the area

I come from a big city - Lahore in Pakistan, and I have immersed myself in studying close to nature in Bangor, I am more convinced than ever that nature does indeed have a way of awakening the entire human mind and body to achieve our highest level of brilliance possible. I preferred Bangor mainly because of its awesome location which is situated inbetween the lush green mountains on one side and the beautiful blue seashores on the other side, that gave me no second thought to consider any other university than Bangor for my studies. There are great fun outdoor activities in Bangor's surrounding area e.g. hiking Mount Snowdon and walking through 800 acres of glacial landforms of the Snowdonia National Park, which is home to an extensive network of trails, over 100 lakes, and craggy peaks such as 'Cader Idris'.

The best thing about Bangor is its diversity and the beautiful scenery.

Support from the university

The international student support department is very active and concerned about the difficulties that are faced by International students.  The wellbeing departmet helps students to maintain their mental and physical health.

Advice for new international students

If you love adventure and nature alongside your studies, then do join Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ, it's the best place in the world.

Being a business student, I am very hopeful and confident regarding my entrepreneurial ideas.
