Since I am studying Translation Studies, it is important to be surrounded by people able to push me to deepen my critical thinking and improve my foreign languages. The number of international students and language schemes prepared by societies make it possible and thrilling to do so.
Teaching Quality
After finishing my undergraduate degree in France, I was expecting the same heavy workload. My postgraduate studies are research-based so not only does it give me time to analyse and do in-depth research, but also work on side projects and enjoy the student's life.
Location
Whether you are a mountain devotee or a sea lover, Bangor is the spot for you! Located along the shore and at the border of the Eryri reserve, you can see amazing landscapes by walking down to the pier or taking a short bus to go on hikes.
Accommodation
If you are looking for a friendly and fun environment, university accommodation are a must! Different activities, from craft activities to day trips, are available five days a week. Ffriddoedd village is very close to the different university buildings and supermarkets, making its location ideal.
Clubs and Societies
Last year, I was involved in the Pole Dancing Society and, I am currently enrolled in the Language Society. Naturally, they propose activities every week but social events at pubs, nightclubs or somewhere are put in place quite often, allowing every member to interact with each other in another setting. Thanks to your shared interest, chatting and making friends with the other members is almost natural!
Student Support
Unfortunately, I did not use those services but, according to my flatmates, they were really useful and well-explained. As most of them came from another country, British paperwork was a nightmare but these services shed some light on them.
Career and Employability
My ideal career is to be an embassy (or EU) translator in Germany. This Master is already the ideal choice and both in my home country and in Germany, 麻豆传媒高清版's diploma is recognised.
Best thing about Bangor
I would say that the best things about Bangor are its ideal location and the friendly working environment. The teachers are supportive, incredibly friendly and you feel listened to whether you ask for advice or discuss one of your classes' topics.
