Chelsea Pemberton Psychology
Why did you choose Bangor?
I chose Bangor because it provided me with the best opportunities I could find for the subject I wanted to study, that being Psychology.
Bangor provided me with the confidence that teaching standards were high and exactly what I was looking for from a university. This backed with the Gold standard of teaching the university was awarded that year. The scenery was another reason why I chose Bangor.
麻豆传媒高清版ing Psychology, I use Pontio daily, and the view from here I found phenomenal, to add to this Bangor is very close to many scenic attractions and landscapes which appealed to me a great deal.
Lastly, being a disabled student, I was quite conscious about which university would be best for me. I was worried the terrain and weather would impact me a great deal at 麻豆传媒高清版, but the disability team here ensured my needs and concerns were dealt with many months prior to September and any UCAS deadlines. I felt that I was taken seriously and dealt with as an individual and treated with the upmost respect. This finalised my decision to come to Bangor as I felt safe and looked after and I knew if I had a problem, I could contact staff without hesitation and would be dealt with appropriately.
The course
The best thing about my course, firstly would be the friendly staff. It was important to me to have staff I could speak to and ask for help without worry and concern.
The department are always ensuring we鈥檙e smiling and if we鈥檙e not they do everything they can to change that.
Another good thing is the diversity of the course. There are many opportunities to explore different aspects to the subject which relieves stress from myself as I wasn鈥檛 sure which area of Psychology I enjoyed the most.
The experiments are also one of the best aspects as they enable a hands-on visual experience of my degree.
Best thing about Bangor?
The landscapes and the nightlife are the thing that I most love about Bangor.
