Why Bangor
My Agency recommended Universities which included Bangor. So, I have done some research about Bangor. I think 麻豆传媒高清版 is a High-Performing school. It is located in a coastal small city, beautiful and peaceful, which is good for study. In addition, the living cost is lower than other cities. I am glad I made a wise choice.
What is the most difficult thing about being an International Student?
I think the most difficult thing is language and culture. As an international student, it is hard to get into and understand all of the lectures in the first month. Students may lose confidence and begin to doubt themselves. In addition, the cultural shock, the language, food and environment is different from the home country. It takes time to overcome and get used to these things.
The Course
The most interesting thing is meeting many students from different countries, with a different mindset. It is good to experience different points of view.
The Lecturers
Teachers are enthusiastic and nice. They are always willing to help students. Staff in academic school work hard and are always willing to support students.
Clubs and Societies
I have been involved with the RDS club, which is helping disabled people enjoy therapy in a more enjoyable context, through horse riding. I also join in beach cleaning activities, as It is great to do something meaningful, while also improving other areas of myself. I also enjoy fencing and Squash, which is really fun. I hope to join more social activities in the future.
Bangor and the area
Bangor is a quiet and peaceful place. In addition, the living cost is low. The local people also very warm and nice. I can enjoy a relaxed and comfy life here.
The best thing about Bangor
I think is the natural scenery really makes Bangor such a nice place to live.
Support from the University
The staff at Bangor are really helpful; and supportive, regardless of the issues students face. The international office work really well, and there are always plenty of support staff and fellow students around to help everyone.
Advice for new International students
Firstly, just relax and be openminded to your new situation. It is important to join social activities, which could help you to blend in the local culture quickly, whilst making. New friends; especially for students who want to improve their English. Be brave and open to talk to people. Secondly, make a time management plan. It will help you how to balance your study and life regularly.
The Future
Firstly, I would like to gain more experiences in the UK during my study. To know more different culture and knowledge here. Secondly, I hope to be an International businessman in the future, making the most of my studies at Bangor and China.
