On the 5th June, which also happened to be World Environment Day, Louise Morgan, Deputy Director of International Recruitment and
Mobility at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ, participated in a significant reforestation initiative by Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ to plant 1,400 trees at The Kenya High School, the tree planting ceremony also marked Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ's 140 year anniversary.
Kenyan students from Kenya High School were not only instrumental in planting the trees, but they also gained valuable insights into higher education and the fight against climate change. Each student has their own named tree planted within the school grounds, a constant reminder of their commitment to environmental action. This experience transcended borders, creating a powerful learning opportunity for all involved.
At Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ, we take environmental stewardship seriously. In fact, my idea for a reforestation project in Kenya received full support, allowing us to commemorate our 140th anniversary with a truly impactful initiative. In partnership with our esteemed partners SIUK, we embarked on a mission to plant 1,400 trees. This project transcended planting – it aimed to inspire a generation of changemakers.
