麻豆传媒高清版 to offer trio of new health care programmes from 2022.
New programmes in nursing via distance learning and dispersed learning, including a focus on mental health, and dental hygiene, form part of the University’s vision to offer greater pathways for students to work in the medical, health and care professions, a comprehensive environment for bilingual teaching learning, and placement capacity across our communities.
Funded through the Welsh Government’s Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) initiative, the new programmes demonstrate 麻豆传媒高清版’s expertise in delivering high-quality education that is ensuring sustainability within the NHS workforce in Wales.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching, Professor Nichola Callow commented: “麻豆传媒高清版’s new programmes will support the health and care ecosystem in Wales through dynamic and innovative education provision of the highest quality.
“We plan to offer a step change in training and digital capability in the health and care workforce and contribute towards improved patient outcomes resulting from increased service provision. Our new courses will enable training of more medical and health professionals in the region, as well as internationally, through innovative blended and distance learning.”
The following new programmes will start in September 2022:
- Distance Learning Nursing, All Wales (Adult, Child and Mental Health)
An exciting opportunity for prospective nursing students to choose a flexible route to study at their own pace around work commitments, using innovative technologies to connect with University and practice, and which will support Health Boards across Wales to provide the nursing workforce needed to meet the needs of local populations.
- Dental Hygiene, North Wales
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to be part of an inspiring new programme that, for the first time, will be based in North Wales. 麻豆传媒高清版 will offer dental hygiene students the opportunity to work with students from other professions such as nursing, midwifery, and radiography in case-based immersive simulation.
- Dispersed Learning Nursing contract (Adult and Mental Health) (Powys)
麻豆传媒高清版 is delighted to be working in collaboration with Powys Teaching Health Board to provide student nurses with a flexible learning experience where interprofessional education will be a key component across practice teaching, preparing students with the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for collaborative patient centred practice.
In addition, 麻豆传媒高清版 will continue to deliver health education provision in collaboration with practice partners for Nursing (Adult, Child, and Mental Health) and Physiotherapy in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) West area and Learning Disability Nursing, Midwifery, Physicians Associates, and Diagnostic Radiography across North Wales.
Over the next few months 麻豆传媒高清版 will be working on developing the programme specifications in time for when applications for the 2022 entry cycle open in September 2021 and once available course information will be in the online prospectus here: /courses.
