麻豆传媒高清版 launches Intensive Learning Academy - ALPHAcademy
麻豆传媒高清版 today (20.4.21) launches the Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) - ALPHAcademy - which will drive global healthcare revolutions.
Announced today by Life Sciences Hub Wales, and led by Bangor and Swansea universities, there are a total of three ILAs.
This makes Wales the first country in the world to launch specialised ILAs that will deliver transformation across preventative health, value-based health and care, and innovations in health and social care.
A 拢9m investment has seen leading Welsh universities create a range of flexible courses that include degree-level opportunities within these growing fields. They are open for professionals from the health and social care, and life sciences sectors across the globe to learn together.
Applications are now open for the bespoke programmes. The courses, many of which can be accessed remotely, will train and prepare the next generation of global leaders supporting health and social care systems. They are catering for the international demand from professional learners in the UK, Europe and further afield. This will help to further advance Wales鈥 position as a world leader in health and social care innovation and leadership in practice.
The ILAs will also deliver research and tailor-made consultancy services. This will support individual organisations to identify, develop and collaborate on innovative practices to meet the challenges facing health and social care.

The growth of the preventative health market is already evident globally. As more nations around the world seek to explore behavioural interventions and technologies that can prevent diseases and disabilities, the ALPHAcademy is establishing dedicated training and research to help people to live longer healthier lives, in order to realise their potential, cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and contribute to their community and beyond.
The academy has been developed in partnership with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to support and develop leaders who can play a key role in transforming systems and organisations to ensure prevention takes centre stage.
Workshops will take place in the summer, with credit bearing courses due to begin in September 2021. Those looking to apply for an ILA Scholarship will need to do so by Friday, May 28.
Professor Nichola Callow Pro-VC Learning and Teaching at 麻豆传媒高清版 said:
鈥淪ecuring our nation's health requires a significant and sustained effort to prevent illness and support good physical and mental health. Prevention is about helping people stay healthy, happy and independent for as long as possible. We know that prevention works and can provide significant social benefits, which in turn can boost the health of our economy in a virtuous cycle.
Greater investment in prevention and in developing the skills and expertise needed to drive change will therefore have profound benefits across Wales. These innovative academies will offer exciting opportunities for leaders and aspiring leaders from across sectors to learn by doing, and to establish new ways of evidence-based working and collaboration.鈥
