聽Bangor student nurse shortlisted for national award
Contribution to Student Affairs.
Robson is an exceptional student particularly in the support he offers to his peers. He was elected as chair of the peer guide group by both Wrexham and Bangor Campuses as he has regularly supported all of the schools鈥 new students through the interviewing stage as well as during welcome week and beyond.
Robson has a quiet determination to succeed and makes sure that all students feel welcome. He also is 鈥榓 natural鈥 in supporting his peers with their studies and he makes sure they receive any necessary support. It was his drive that secured that students on the Wrexham campus have access to peer writing mentors on site.
He also acts as the Press Officer to the 麻豆传媒高清版 Nursing Society and was successful as part of a team in ensuring that the last Charity Christmas Ball was a resounding success raising nearly 拢700 for a local homeless charity. Robson is well thought of everywhere he goes. He is recognised by his tutors, his peers and his colleagues in practice as one of the good guys in nursing and we wish him every success as a finalist in the award category and in his career as a nurse.
Prof. Chris Burton, Head of Healthcare Sciences said:
鈥淩obson鈥檚 well deserved nomination for this prestigious national student nursing award follows on from Bangor Student Nurses winning the RCN Student Nurse of the Year award for the last two years running. These awards are a clear recognition of the quality of nursing students that our reputation for teaching and research excellence are attracting and I am sure that Robson, like his predecessors will go one to have a very positive impact on healthcare services across North Wales.鈥
