Returning Bangor Graduate delivers talk on Employability to current students.
Today saw Ayaz Saboor, one of our Law graduates return to campus. Ayaz delivered two guest lectures to our current students, the first on "What Skills Are Employers' Looking For?" and another on "Navigating the Commercial Law Pathway". During the second guest lecture Ayaz delved into training to becoming a solicitor and applying for a training contract, all hugely insightful content for our current students.
Ayaz graduated from Bangor Law School in the summer of 2015, with a First Class LLB Law with Business Studies degree. Post his Legal Practice Course (LPC), he completed his legal training with Amazon UK's Legal Department, and DWF. With a value in excess of 拢366 million, DWF is a global legal business, headquartered in Manchester. It is also the UK's largest listed law firm on the London Stock Exchange. DWF is structured into two legal service areas, covering Commercial Services and Insurance Services respectively. The Insurance Services area includes a practice dealing with "Claimant Services", delivered as Resolution Law. Further information pertaining to DWF can be found here: Ayaz was called to the solicitor rolls in September 2021.
Ayaz has spoken at several employability events regarding navigating the complexities of securing a training contract, including for those from under-represented groups. An example of his blog can be found here: and an interview with the Student Lawyer here:
Ayaz has now founded and is Director at "The Commercial Law Pathway."
