Erasmus + Empyre Project聽
Partners from the Erasmus+ Empyre project met in Bangor from 14th - 17th March to plan for a twelve-day student workshop on innovative youth work practice in Finland in April. Our partners include universities and youth work agencies from four European countries. Gisda, which supports young people including homeless young people is our local agency partner.
The School of History, Law and Social Sciences students attending the workshop in Finland are:
- Lakeisha Evans - Social Policy and Childhood Studies.
- Sarah Smith - Sociology.
- Stephanie Emes - Philosophy and Religion.
- Rebecca Loutchina-Myndiuk - Law.
- Alice Beattie - Law and Criminology.
- Alice Buckton-Perkins - History.
The workshop will explore themes of equality, diversity and inclusivity. Bangor students will work closely with students from Finland, Poland and Austria.
During the visit to Bangor our partners visited Gisda offices and a hostel in Caernarfon and met some of the young people staying at the hostel.
