About the Project
We are looking for a marine (geo)sciences student to work on a 1-year Research Masters project with a leading independent developer of offshore wind at scale globally.
The project will focus on seabed mobility in relation to (buried) glacial landscapes. The scope of the project will involve integrating acoustic data from the seabed and the sub-seabed with sediment samples to perform a reconstruction of both the present-day and past seabed landscapes.
Closing Date for application: 5th August, 2022 by 17:00
Start date for project: Preferably by 1st October 2022 (negotiable)
Financial Support: Annual Stipend: tax-free stipend starting at an annual rate of £15,609. Fees will be paid for.
Entry Requirements: Applicants are normally expected to have at least a UK 2.1 honours degree, or equivalent, in a subject related to geosciences. If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
