麻豆传媒高清版鈥檚 Business School is proud to have an established partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). The partnership between 麻豆传媒高清版 and BIBF began in 2004 with the first cohort of students graduating in 2007. Since then more than 500 students have graduated from this programme which enables students to study the foundation year and the first two years of their degree in Bahrain and complete their final year to earn their degree in Bangor.聽
In 2016 the 麻豆传媒高清版 / BIBF Alumnus of the Year was launched. This honour聽recognises a graduate of the Bangor/BIBF programme who has achieved聽professional distinction, while also finding time to undertake volunteer activities and give back to their community.聽
During the fourth annual 麻豆传媒高清版 Alumni reunion, held in Bahrain on Monday, 11 September 2017, Mohamed Ashoor was named the 麻豆传媒高清版 / BIBF Alumnus of the Year 2017.

Born and bred in Bahrain, Mohamed gained his diploma in Banking and Finance and Advanced Diploma in Islamic Finance in 2010 from BIBF and came to 麻豆传媒高清版 to complete his BA Hons in Business Studies and Finance in 2010.
On his return to Bahrain, Mohamed moved from a banking and finance educational background into public relations then digital marketing. He is now a Google-certified digital marketing professional with experience in helping diverse companies communicate and reach out to their target audiences. His most notable work relationship is with Liverpool Football Club. Mohamed has been working with the club for the last 5 years on their Arabic website and social media channels. He manages a community of 4.5 million Arab fans and all the club's communications to the Arabic-speaking audience.
Mohamed was presented with his award by 麻豆传媒高清版鈥檚 Prof. Andrew Edwards, Dean of College of Business, Law, Education and Social Science.
The reunion, hosted by 麻豆传媒高清版鈥檚 President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor John G. Hughes, was attended by over 70 alumni. Mr. Simon Martin, Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, attended the event for the second year running, as did H.E Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Governor of Central Bank of Bahrain and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).
