"When I graduated from my undergraduate degree in Bangladesh, I had no idea how to start the international career which I dreamt of. At first, European Union’s SUTROFOR program brought me to the international arena, and Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ opened up the scope to fulfil my dream. The story is as simple as it is written here.
"First and foremost, the dedicated staff of the Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ groomed me to take up challenges; building both my academic skills and developing my potential in global leadership. Secondly, our lesson plan and course curriculum introduced contemporary challenges from across the globe. Thirdly, integration of students from different academic and cultural backgrounds helped me develop holistic approaches to problems, combining aspects of different disciplines.
"My dissertation looked at trade-off between carbon services and ecotourism. Great supervision and guidance has fully equipped me to perform independent research at any level. Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ nurture students with state-of-the-art technologies with regard to research and development. When I completed my M.Sc. at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ I realized that I had sound multi-disciplinary knowledge (Agroforestry, Forestry, and Conservation) to tackle cross-disciplinary issues (climate change adaptation and mitigation, forest management, crops and food production, sustainable development). This knowledge helped me to get a job with the UK based international NGO ‘Pro-Natura’. The experience and contacts from that job led to my current job with the University of Guyana.
"I came across the advert for my first job on SENRGy’s notice board. I strongly admire Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ’s efforts in helping students with job hunting, life-long learning courses (CV writing, statistical education etc.), and weekly seminar series. I definitely say ‘yes’ to anyone who seeks advice with regard to enrolment at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ."
