I visited 麻豆传媒高清版 on an open day after visiting 3 other universities and I felt that Bangor was the university I wanted to study at. Come rain or shine Bangor is a beautiful city and environment. I spent many years enjoying the surrounding area and Snowdonia National Park; from swimming lakes to jogging in the hills and mountain.
Through the use of clubs and societies provided by the Student Union I was able to try many activities I would not have been able to. I was not sure where my career was heading before I studied at Bangor, I just knew that I loved science and that’s where I wanted to be; the course at Bangor allowed me to experience many areas of environmental science.
SENRGy has many courses that make use of Snowdonia National Park; this allowed them to provide me with a good mix of theory and practical work. The practical really helped me see how my skills would fit into a work environment, such as water sampling and analysis. The field trips and surrounding theory are very relevant and I was able to use these skills when I was on placement with Bangor University’s Environmental Manager. I was given the environment to analyse what skills I had and then allowed me to develop and add to my skill base.
Going to University is not always easy, but the course tutors understand this; they have created an environment where you are able to grow and develop both skills and confidence. I have made some amazing friends and had experiences that I will remember forever.
I am currently working full time for FCC Environment at their waste incinerator power station. My time and the experiences that I gained whilst at Bangor have definitely contributed to my successful employment.
