" I chose to undertake a sandwich placement and was fortunate to undertake a fantastic placement year working with a large community forestry organisation, The MersI chose Bangor for many reasons, but mainly it was down the reputation of the Forestry department and the landscape which surrounds it. My main interest was within Community Forestry and the course offered me the flexibility to concentrate part of my studies in this area.ey Forest.
"After completing my degree, I was asked to return to The Mersey Forest where I gained further invaluable experiences. I now work as the Sites Manager for the Borders Forest Trust and am responsible for the management of close to one hundred native woodland sites in and around the southern uplands of Scotland. I also am continuing to add more sites to that list as well as helping to restore a much lost habitat in another beautiful part of the world."
